BAS***D Word 5 Times? No Way! Mute It, Right Now!!
The makers of Aiyaary to mute the word Bas***d that appears at 5 places in the film. Other cuts have also been suggested another cut. Who enforced this order? No prizes for guessing – the Censor Board
After a prolonged delay, Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj
Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary will finally hit theatres on February 16. The
film was first screened for the CBFC, post which the Ministry of Defence (MoD)
saw the thriller. They suggested certain changes which were accommodated by the makers and the team was handed the Censor
certificate on Tuesday.
Now, SpotboyE.com has got you EXCLUSIVE dope on the
modifications suggested by the CBFC.
A Still From Aiyaary
Says a source, “The makers have been asked to mute the
word Bas***d at 5 places. Also, a certain sequence has the phrase ‘Kargil
widow’ – the word ‘Kargil’ has been removed.”
Meanwhile, Aiyaary which brings forward the corruption in
the Armed Forces and has Sidharth and Manoj playing officers, was
initially supposed to release on Republic Day. However, it moved from that
weekend once Akshay Kumar announced that Pad Man will hit theatres on
January 25.

The superstar then shifted the project to give Sanjay
Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat a free run (The period drama had faced several
roadblocks in the form of protests by Karni Sena and releasing at the first
window they got was the need of the hour). This resulted in Akshay locking
horns with Aiyaary yet again. Probably, this, in turn, led Aiyaary makers
to postpone the release of the thriller to February 16.
Well, like they say, all’s well that ends well.
